Characters for "The Land of Creativity"

These were character designs for a group project I had to do for my Senior Projects class. We decided to make a children's book that would teach children about some of the broad career categories a person can take as an artist. The demographic was 4th and 5th graders, but the character designs were made to have appeal to older audiences along with jokes and implied meaning only older readers would catch.

Bear on a Motorcycle

Bears are fun. Happy bears are better.

Conspiracy

From top to bottom; Unease, Suspicion and Alert.

J. Greyson

Greyson is a character I made up for a story who got used in some later assignments. He comes from a fictionalized version of America in the early 50's and returns home a nearly broken man after fighting in WWII (with an abundance of scars to show for it). When using him in my the assignment I decided to draw him without his scars as it's so loaded with meaning it could detract from the focus of the pictures.
